There are many charities, many foundations and considerable governmental support to finding a medicine that might halt the progression of developing Alzheimer’s disease (Alz). We applaud those continued efforts even in the face of their decade’s long history of failure. On the other hand, there is very limited support to encourage activities that stand a very good chance of preventing the development of Alz. This despite the fact there is scientific evidence for concluding that there are activities that citizens can engage that stand a very good chance of establishing a physiology that will prevent the development of Alz. That available scientific evidence needs to be translated into programs that will help older, healthy citizens to become aware that they can engage activities to prevent the development of Alzheimer’s Disease and once aware help to engage the relevant activities. This website is part of a program to encourage activities that we are confident will reduce significantly the chances of developing Alz. However, like any program demanding considerable attention and work, it takes financial support to be sustained. Consequently, we established the Alzheimers Prevention Charity. Donations to that charity are tax-deductible. The charities goals are to support further research in how to prevent Alz and to support programs that will translate what is already know about how to prevent Alz. Without effective preventive activities, about half of the older citizens will likely develop what is now known to be incurable Alz sometime during the last decades of their lives. In brief, selective preventive activities are now the only known way to accomplish a reduction in the incidences of Alz.
Please donate to the cause of preventing Alz. Gifts of all sizes are appreciated. We particularly prize small gifts, say $10, that are given automatically each month. Such will sustain programs designed to help citizens prevent Alz.
